"My entire family goes to Dr. Christine now, after our longtime dentist retired. Admittedly nervous to see someone new after all those years, Dr. Christine made the transition so easy and comfortable. She is gentle, kind, and so proactive — showing me things she'll keep an eye on without causing worry or anxiety. My daughter was tickled that she got to see her 'big tooth' coming in on x-ray. She lost her baby tooth the next week and proudly wanted to show Dr. Christine immediately. Highly recommend her for the whole family!"
"My husband, my daughter and I are all patients of Dr. Christine — we can't say enough wonderful things. She is patient, kind and thorough. Her bedside manner is unparalleled and her gentle and proactive approach is very effective. Highly recommend."
"I hadn’t seen a dentist in over 20 years and was honestly embarrassed to walk through the door. From the first minute, Dr. Bakun made me feel completely at ease. No judgment, just genuine care and professionalism. She made what I thought would be a stressful experience surprisingly comfortable. You can tell she truly cares about her patients. If you’re looking for the best holistic dentist in Bucks County, I can’t recommend Dr. Bakun enough."
"Both my parents are in their late 70s and needed multiple extractions. I was honestly bracing for a rough recovery — but they both came home the same day, no pain, no swelling, eating normal meals. I was amazed. Dr. Bakun is simply exceptional."
"My dad was going through cancer treatments when he needed multiple dental procedures, so finding the right care really mattered to us. From the first visit through each follow-up, Dr. Bakun was incredibly attentive, with truly gentle hands and a calm, thoughtful approach that put him at ease every time. While I was there, I saw how naturally she connects with both kids and seniors—it’s clear she’s one of the best dentists in Bucks County. I also really appreciate her holistic mindset, looking at how oral health ties into the whole body. We’re incredibly grateful for the care my dad received."
"My child had a weekend emergency when dentists are usually closed. Dr. Bakun made herself available for phone consults, and then treated her when nobody would. Dr. Bakun is a kind soul and one of a kind in health care."

(215) 672-9444 — Ask to see Dr. Christine BakunA California native and natural academic, Christine graduated valedictorian and went on to earn her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, studying Health Care Management & International Health. She then studied at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine — one of the most rigorous dental programs on the East Coast. She came out trained, precise, and hungry for the kind of experience that only comes from doing the hardest work in the hardest rooms.
Lincoln Hospital isn't where you go to ease into dentistry. It's a Level I trauma center in the South Bronx, part of the Cornell University Medical Center network — and Dr. Bakun's residency there was everything that implies. Overnight ER rotations. Trauma bays at 2am. Facial lacerations, broken jaws, injuries that don't wait and don't forgive hesitation. What that builds in a clinician isn't just skill — it's steadiness. She carries it into every appointment.
After residency, Dr. Bakun practiced across multiple Bay Area offices — and found herself treating a patient base that had very particular expectations. Engineers and product leaders from Apple, Google, Facebook, Netflix. People who notice everything, research everything, and accept nothing less than exactly right. When your patients are professionally trained to find the flaw in any system, your standards sharpen fast. Dr. Bakun thrived in that environment. That precision is part of her now.
Returning to the East Coast, Dr. Bakun joined Penn Medicine's Penn Family Practice as a provider — spending four years delivering care to students, faculty, and families within one of the nation's premier academic health systems. Alongside her clinical work, she was appointed Adjunct Professor on the clinical floor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Penn Dental is the oldest university-affiliated dental school in the United States, consistently ranked among the world's best. For three terms, Dr. Bakun was part of the faculty that keeps it that way — helping shape the next generation of dentists at an institution that has defined American dental education for over 150 years.
During this same period, Dr. Bakun had the rare opportunity to work alongside Dr. Donald Robbins — one of the foremost authorities on biological and BioSafe dentistry and author of The Toxic Dental Office. Working directly with a pioneer in this field gave her deep, firsthand experience in mercury amalgam removal protocols, biocompatible and metal-free restorations, fluoride-free treatment options, and the broader connection between dental materials and whole-body health. She carries that philosophy into her practice today — taking a materials-conscious, whole-body approach, and always happy to discuss biosafe options with patients who want them. Different patients have different needs, and Dr. Bakun is equally comfortable with a traditional approach or a fully biocompatible one.
Throughout her career, Dr. Bakun has sought out the patients and communities others don't always reach. She worked at a holistic practice serving a large Amish community — blending modern clinical science with patients whose values called for a gentler, more natural approach. She staffed a mobile dental clinic providing free care to underserved communities in California. She volunteered with the Special Olympics in 2012. For Dr. Bakun, dentistry has never been only a profession. It's a passion to help people.
Dr. Bakun now practices at Advanced Dental Smiles in Warminster, PA — part of the Dudhat Dental Group, the Official Dental Partner of the Philadelphia Eagles. She sees patients from across Bucks County and the Greater Philadelphia Area. Some drive more than an hour. They tell her it's worth it.
Dr. Bakun is a proud mom of two young children — and she knows firsthand what it means to want the very best for your kid. She has a natural gift with children that parents notice immediately: warm, genuinely funny, and endlessly patient. She turns nervous little patients into willing ones, and willing ones into kids who actually look forward to their next visit. Expect gentle hands, real conversation at their level, and yes — a few special treats for the brave ones. If your child has ever said they hate the dentist, give Dr. Bakun one appointment to change their mind.
